Children & Preschoolers
Our Gateway Children"s Ministry is the "heartbeat of the future." We are committed to helping every child participating in this ministry to grow in the knowledge of our Savior. Several of our teachers have devoted their lives to teaching and training children. Each class is uniquely designed to cover the Biblical truths about God's Word. We offer a wide range of classes from preschool to 6th grade.
KidsTown Classes
Sundays 9:15 a.m.
In our KidsTown Sunday school classes, your children are provided with a consistent, Bible-based opportunity to
develop a firm foundation in Christ. They memorize Bible verses, construct craft projects, work on activity and
lesson pages, listen to Bible stories taught by dedicated teachers and play Bible review games.
KidStuff Children's Church
Sundays 10:30 a.m.
Ages and Location: Age 4 - Grade 2 meet in the AWANA Room
Ages and Location: Grade 3 - 6 meet in the Fellowship Hall
KidStuff is a fun worship service geared for kids available during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship hour. This service is a fun-filled hour of excitement and scripture, using music and interactive drama presentations to illustrate Biblical values. It is high speed and full of entertainment without sacrificing the message of God's love. We give a clear Biblical message to all children each week.
AWANA (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed - 2 Timothy 2:15)
Wednesdays 6:30 - 8:15 p.m. School Year
Location: AWANA Room Upstairs
AWANA meets every Wednesday evening during the school year. This is fast-paced and broken down into 3 parts. First is Game Time: the children compete in relay-style games on one of four teams for points around the AWANA square. Second is Handbook Time: children work in their workbooks, memorizing verses and learning Bible truths. Third is Counsel Time: each child is taught a Biblical lesson from God's Word.

Children of Faith Class
Grades 1st - 6th
When: 3 times a year - Spring, Summer & Fall
This class is designated for children, 1st - 6th grade, who have recently made a profession of faith or those who just have questions and want a better understanding. We cover God, Sin, Salvation, Baptism, Prayer, The Lord's Supper, Trinity, Discipleship and Serving in a way that children can understand. Parents are welcome to attend but not required.
KidsLight
Wednesdays 7:00 p.m. Summer
Location: AWANA Room upstairs
KidsLight is our Wednesday evening summer program. We use the same concept as AWANAs and dig deeper into what we learned in Vacation Bible School. We have message time, game time, crafts and songs, all while learning more about God.

Social Events
Cost Varies on the Event
Sunday School, AWANA and KidStuff all have special social events scheduled throughout the year. These are special activities where the kids can come together in a safe environment, hang out and have a great time with their friends. This also provides a great ooportunity for families and children to get to know each other and form friendships what will last a lifetime. Activities vary from skate or swimming parties, pizza, bowling, game nights and more.

FabFridays

FabFridays are cool summertime off-campus day trips! We will be doing events such as going to parks, zoos or a museum. Parents are encouraged to join in the fun. We will always incorporate a Biblical theme to each outing. Remember these are day trips and a lunch will need to be packed for each child. Parents of children ages 4 & 5 must attend or have a guardian present.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Summer - Free
Ages Completed Kindergarten - 6th Grades
Gateway participates in a week-long traditional VBS program every summer. This program is free to the community and one of the most-anticipated activities at Gateway! It is full of music, crafts, games and scripture. This year we are extending the VBS with KidsLight on Wednesday nights. KidsLight will have the same energy and excitement as VBS, as well as the same Biblical focus.
Pre-Teen Camp
Ages Completed 3rd - 6th Grades
Summer - Cost Varies on the Camp
Pre-Teen Camp is a blast! Gateway pre-teens attend a Southern Baptist Convention-sponsored camp and it's held from a Monday - Thursday
in the summer. Our involvement in pre-teen camp is another fun summer activity. There will be specific information provided about the dates,
themes and camp events and activities as time for the camp nears.
KidsDay
Annual Church Event - Free
Come to the KidsDay Carnival! This is a special event that happens each year. KidsDay is a carnival-type atmosphere on a Sunday morning. It takes place outside the church building during the normal KidStuff schedule. In the past, KidsDay events have had many things including inflatables, train rides, games with prizes and many more fun events. And let's not forget the cotton candy and snow cones! This is a day to put on your calendar.
Community Easter Egg Hunt
All Ages - Free
Gateway's annual Easter Egg Hunt has grown in popularity so much that we've had to expand it to three occurrences! The Easter Egg Hunt takes place on the church grounds Easter weekend. We have 1 egg hunt on Saturday afternoon and 2 on Easter Sunday.

KidsTunes

KidsTunes provides a way for children to exercise their God-given talents through music. Throughout the year we will sing several times in the worship center and perform a drama or two. Children do not need to have a great voice, just an open heart to the Lord.
KidsMusic Camp
Ages 1st - 6th Graders
Summer - Free
Location: Sanctuary
Gateway's KidsMusic Camp takes place during a designated week each summer. This is a weeklong music program from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and the kids perform for their parents, family & friends the Friday evening of that week. If your child would like to be a part of this wonderful program and meet new friends, come join us.
T-Ball (Registration Form)
Ages 3 & 4 Year Olds
Location: Gateway Baptist Church back lot
T-Ball is a great opportunity for kids to learn the fundamental of baseball in a loving Christian environment. Players will learn the basics of running the bases, hitting and catching as well as working together as a team and good sportsmanship. Each practice ends with a short devotional. We end the season with a trophy presentation. All players receive a shirt, cap and trophy. We offer two seasons, one in the spring and one in the fall.
Fall Soccer
Ages Kindergarten - Grade 3
Location: Gateway Baptist Church back lot
Soccer is a great opportunity for kids to learn the fundamentals of soccer in a loving Christian environment. Players will learn the basics as well as working together as a team and good sportsmanship. Each practice ends with a short devotional. Soccer Camp
Ages 3 & 4 year olds
Location: Gateway Baptist Church back lot
Camp is to help the younger ones learn what soccer is and how to work as a team.
Family Events
Family events offers a great way to spend some time enjoying good Christian fellowship with other families. Various events throughout the year provide for good family fun the appeals to all ages. Some of the activities are Skate night, Outdoor Movie Night and Family Picnic in the park.
