Frequently Asked Questions

When are services?
We have two worship services, one on Sunday and one on Wednesday. Our Sunday services are at 10:30 a.m. We have a praise band for both services and a message that is geared for all ages. The adults meet for a great mid-week lift on Wednesday Nights at 7:00 p.m.

Where should I go?
All Adult services take place in the Worship Center. For information on Student Ministry and Children's Ministry, see the corresponding page. For a campus map, please click here.

What if I need special assistance?
We have plenty of handicapped parking. On Sunday mornings we have parking lot greeters to assist you. Wheelchairs are also available upon request.

What type of security do you have in place?
Safety and security are at the forefront of importance for all of our ministries. We have a security team that monitors the church, inside and outside; and wears pagers for emergencies. We also have an officer on-site. For more information on security for individual ministries please go to their webpage.

Do you have a nursery and when is it available?
Yes we do! The nursery is for birth through age 3 and available during all worship services. We also offer a cry room for parents with little ones. The cry room is located in the back of the Worship Center, the door closest to the Information Desk. The nursery also has two baby dedications each year, one on Mother's Day and one in the fall. For more information please refer to the Nursery Ministry page.

What is available for my children or teenagers?
Our student, preschool and children's programs are devoted to helping children and students build a spiritual foundation that will last a lifetime. Our ministry staff is committed to helping young people find real life in Jesus Christ through Bible studies, worship, camps, retreats and a high-energy, fun atmosphere. For more information please refer to their ministry pages. Students & Children's.

What is Sunday School?
Sunday School is what we refer to as Bible Fellowship Classes (BFC). BFC is a big part of fellowship and community experience of Gateway Baptist Church. BFC provides you an opportunity to dig deeper into God's Word, meet new people and to nurture authentic friendships with people who are seeking fellowship and spiritual growth just like you. For more information refer to Bible Fellowship Classes.

What should I wear?
We are more concerned with meeting your needs than what you wear, so dress comfortably! You will see people dressed in everything from their "Sunday best" to casual and comfortable. The important thing is that you come!

Where can I go for information on activities and events?
This website, of course, is a great source of information for the many activities and opportunities that are available for you and your family. Additionally, our Sunday bulletin and quarterly newsletter both contain information about all of our weekly activities and ministries. One of our friendly Greeters, located at our Information Desk in the church foyer, can answer most any question you have and can provide you with brochures and literature on events happening within our church.

I know getting involved in ministry is important, but where do I start?
You might think, "Gateway is full of people who help as volunteers. There's so much going on - they don't need me." Nothing could be further from the truth. We need you! There is a place for everyone at Gateway. Service plays a major role, not only in the health of the church, but in your life as well. The greatest way to grow in your faith is to serve! To learn more about where you are needed, please see our Volunteer Opportunities page.

What are the church office hours and where are the offices located?
Normal church office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The offices are located in the single set of glass doors closest to Rayford Road.
