Gateway Express PreSchool Ministry
We love babies! Your littlest ones will be loved and cuddled at Gateway. We are privileged to spend an hour or two with
your most precious ones, and we take this responsibility seriously. You can feel confident leaving your child in the hands of our
trained and experienced nursery team. Our Nursery Ministry provides excellent childcare in a safe and loving environment. We offer
care for newborns through age 3 during all of our services on Sundays and Wednesday evenings.
Infants & 1 Year Olds Nursery
This nursery is for newborns-12 months old (or until they are able to walk). The Infant Nursery is staffed with women only so that nursing moms can feel the freedom to use this nursery and have some privacy to nurse their infants.
2 Year Olds Nursery
This nursery is for children 13-24 months old. We have structured Bible story time during our worship services. A snack is provided for the children unless the nursery staff is informed otherwise by the parents.
3 Year Olds Nursery
This nursery is for children 24-36 months old. We have a structured Bible story time during our worship services. A snack is provided for the children unless the nursery staff is informed otherwise by the parents.
Nursery Team
Our Nursery team consists of at least one adult worker and one or more adult or youth helpers in each nursery. All nursery workers/helpers (paid or volunteer); must be a Gateway member and are required to have a background check. All nursery workers/helpers are CPR trained and are familiar with the nursery facilities, childcare, child safety and our Gateway Express Policies. Our Nursery Director monitors the nurseries during all services to ensure proper childcare and safety.
Check-In Procedures
In order for our Nursery Team to provide your child with the best care possible, we ask for your help with the following:
- Bring a diaper bag supplied with at least 2 diapers, change of clothes, a bottle/formula or food if needed, a bib and any other special item your child might need. Please be sure to clearly label your child's diaper bag (we provide tags if needed), bottle/sippy cup and other special items.
- There is a sign-in sheet on the Nursery Check-In Desk. If you are a member or regular attendee, your child's name should be on the sign-in sheet; please highlight child's name and complete all information. If you are a visitor, please complete all information. We also ask that you fill out a visitor card and give to a nursery worker.
- Tokens are given to parents/guardians that are numbered. The numbers correspond with their child's name. Pagers are available upon request.
- Children are only released to their parents or guardians - no siblings.
