Prayer Ministry
Prayer is often the last resort of an individual, yet it is the most powerful weapon we have in a spiritual war. God's
benevolence, His guidance, His peace and comfort, and His protection are often only one prayer away when coupled with obedience.
Prayer should always be our first response to the trials we face in our daily walk. Gateway offers many intentional prayer
initiatives. You are encouraged to join each of these teams or groups to assist in the one area we all can be active in - the
prayer life of the church.
Bi-weekly Staff Prayer Times
Twice a week the pastoral staff meets for focused prayer. We intentionally focus on the ministries, needs, people and direction of the church. We meet at 8:30 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. This prayer time is the pastoral staff, but we invite you to join us if you would like.
E-Mail Prayer Team
We have an active E-mail prayer chain. When notified of a prayer need, we can call on hundreds of prayer warriors in a very short time to rush to the throne of God in prayer. We all need others praying for us in trying times and it is amazing how our walk is strengthened when we are actively praying for others.
Prayer Guide Prayer Groups
Our Prayer Guide is prepared for Sunday Worship. This is a list of all known prayer needs of all types within and beyond our church body. This effort encourages church attendees to actively pray at home during the week for the needs that have been made known to the church.
Prayer Partners
Don't miss this opportunity to become part of a powerful ministry team that ministers to those in need. We make ourselves
available to pray with anyone in our congregation on Sunday mornings who is compelled to go to the altar during our service prayer time.
Prayer Meetings
The Men's Ministry meet at 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and the Women's Ministry meet at 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Childcare is not available.
