YOU’VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE
OUR MISSION
Gateway Church exists to walk alongside people, no matter where they are in their faith journey, and help them grow in their relationship with God.
We are a church committed to biblical teaching, authentic community, and Christ-centered outreach. Our desire is to create an environment where people feel welcomed, known, and encouraged as they take their next step with Jesus.
Our mission is to walk alongside people and partner with them in three key areas:
● Biblical Teaching — Helping people understand and apply God’s Word
● Biblical Community — Building meaningful, Christ-centered relationships
● Christ-Centered Evangelism — Reaching others with the truth of the Gospel
Everything we do flows from these priorities.
Gateway is a church for all ages and stages of life. Through our ministries, we aim to serve both our church family and the surrounding community.
These ministries include:
● Kids and Preschool
● Students and Youth
● Men’s and Women’s Ministries
● Senior Adults
● Spanish Ministry
● Groups and Discipleship
● Prayer, Care, and Counseling
● Food Pantry
● Missions
We believe the church is more than a place to attend — it is a family to belong to.
STATEMENT OF
BELIEFS
-
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22 Il Psalm 90:2 II Matthew 28:19 II 1 Peter 1:2 II 2 Corinthians 13:13 -
Humans were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is eternal death in Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
John 3:16 Il l John 2:25; 5:11-13 II Romans 6:23 II Revelation 20:15
-
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22-23 II Isaiah 9:6 II John 1:1-5; 14:10-30 II Hebrews 4:14-15 II 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Romans 8:34 II Acts 1:9-11 II 1 Timothy 6:14-15 II Titus 2:13-15
-
Salvation is a gift from God to humanity. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from the penalty of our past, present and future sins. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by faith.
Romans 6:23 Il Ephesians 2:8-9 II John 14:6; 1:12 II Titus 3:5 II Galatians 3:26 II Romans 5:16
-
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is grace and the keeping power of God that gives this eternal security.
John 10:29 II 2 Timothy 1:12 II Hebrews 7:25; 10:10-14
-
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God and together (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) makes up the Trinity. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.
2 Corinthians 3:17 II John 16:7-13; 14:16-17 II Acts 1:8 II 2 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16 II Ephesians 1:13 Galatians 5:25 II Ephesians 5:18
-
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any fundamental, theological, or doctrinal errors.
2 Timothy 3:16 II 2 Peter 1:20-21 II 2 Timothy 1:13 II Psalms 119:105, Psalms 119:160; 12:6 II Proverbs 30:5
-
We believe that evangelism is the joyful responsibility and unique calling of every follower of Jesus Christ. The gospel, the good news of salvation through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, is the power of God for the salvation of all who believe. Therefore, we are called to reach all nations by proclaiming this message boldly, compassionately, and truthfully to all people. We believe that true evangelism flows from a heart transformed by Jesus and expresses itself through love, integrity, humility, and generosity. As ambassadors for Christ, we represent His kingdom by serving others, building relationships, and proclaiming truth in both word and deed.

We believe that God created us to live in authentic community, reflecting His own relational nature revealed through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Church is not merely a gathering place but a family where every person is known, valued, and loved. We are called to build one another up in faith, carry each other’s burdens, and walk together in grace and truth. Through Christ, we are reconciled to God and to one another, forming a community marked by unity, compassion, and mutual care. In our relationships, we seek to reflect the love of Jesus by encouraging, forgiving, and serving one another so that the world will know we belong to Him.
