Week of December 29, 2019

“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and roads in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

As God was going to give the children of Israel a new beginning, He’s about to give us a new year. Each day is a new day, a new opportunity, presented to you by God. Yesterday, with its disappointments and despair belong to the past. Do not look back; what is passed is passed. God is giving you hope and a future.

God in His grace; is granting you the opportunity to rectify those things that have gone wrong in your life. Learn from your failures and mistakes, from your weaknesses and defeats. We have a new year to start anew in just days. Assured of Christ’s forgiving love, you can learn from your past experiences and decide from now to live in obedience to the Master’s commands and walk in His ways.

Confess your weaknesses and shortcomings to Him. Open your heart for His spirit to enter and take control of your life. Then face the future with confidence and with the knowledge that God has never forsaken you. If we allow Christ to make us anew, we will handle life with maturity and we will experience the peace of God that transcends all understanding.
