“One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” (Psalm 145:4, NKJV)
Each of us is called to live in such a way that our lives point others to the goodness of God. The Christian life is not just about what God is doing in me, but also about what God desires to do through me to bless those who come after me.
When we look back, we see God’s hand sustaining us through trials, answering prayers, and showing mercy when we need it the most. When we look ahead, we can rest in the truth that the same God who was faithful yesterday will be faithful tomorrow. Our task today is to trust Him and to live for Him.
What are you passing on? Are you leaving behind words of encouragement and examples of faith? Be careful not to be so caught up in today’s challenges that you forget the bigger story. Psalm 145 calls us to lift our eyes higher – to see that every moment of faithfulness becomes part of a legacy that continues long after we are gone.
Pray this prayer with me:
“Lord, help me to live in such a way that I leave behind a testimony of Your goodness. May my words and actions point others to You. In Jesus Christ name, Amen.”
God Bless, Pastor Rick
