There’s An Engineer At Work

Week of January 17, 2020

One day in Peter’s life he was praying when he sees a vision of food forbidden to the Jewish person.  He makes this statement in Acts 10:14 “But Peter said, “Not so Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”  A heavenly voice said, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”

In another town God had told Cornelius, a Centurion, a Gentile, to look for a man named Peter.  So, Cornelius had sent three men to find him.

As the men approached the house where Peter is praying, the Holy Spirit tells Peter there are three men looking for you.  The next morning Peter follows the men to Cornelius’ house and finds a group of people waiting to hear his words.

Cornelius tells Peter that God promised to send him a messenger.  Peter now understands that he is that messenger and that his vision was a perfectly timed lesson from God, which was this; the gospel is for all people, even Gentiles.

Oswald Chamber describes God as the Great Engineer who creates circumstances to bring about divine appointments in our lives.  Keep your eyes open today for how God engineers divine circumstances in your life.  A door may open this week in your life that you never thought was possible.  I promise you He is working behind the scenes.

God Bless, Pastor Rick
