Never Stop Growing

Week of October 4, 2019

“but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.” Ephesians 4:15 (NKJV)

When some people commit themselves to Christ, an immediate transformation of their personality takes place. The weakness of their character is replaced by strength and confidence. However, over time, the wonder and enthusiasm sometimes diminish, and the spirit that was once aflame for Christ starts to dim.

When you give your life to Christ, you have become a new creation, but old habits die hard. In the process of living life, old habits can easily make their influence felt once again. Therefore, it is imperative that we keep nurturing our spiritual growth after converting to Christ. This best happens when Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with believers is a regular part of our lives. It is God’s desire for you to grow spiritually, but the responsibility for actually doing so belongs to you.
