Right-Thinking Matters

Week of July 10, 2020

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”  (Isaiah 26:3, NKJV)

Your thoughts influence your actions because what you think and believe is the foundation of your behavior.  Therefore, it is so important that we discipline our thoughts and develop a positive attitude to life.

Tied to our thoughts is the power of desire. What you think and feel motivates your actions and your responses in life.  What happens often is our emotions cloud our logic.  That is why it is very important that you get rid of destructive emotions in your life and replace them with positive thoughts.

The force behind a healthy emotional life is allowing the Holy Spirit to take control of your thoughts.  When we focus our thoughts on God and fill our mind with the word of God, He will enable you to approach life with calmness.  The more you practice this, the more your emotions will increasingly be subject to the sovereignty of the Holy Spirit.

Consequently, your logic will not be clouded; your thoughts are under control, and nothing nor no one will be able to destroy your peace.  Address what is or who is controlling your emotions by changing the way you think.  You will be amazed at how right-thinking changes our outlook and our life.
