The Exchanged Life

Week of January 28, 2022

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20, NKJV)

The Christian life is really an exchanged life. When Jesus comes into your life, it is essentially exchanged for your own life. When Christ takes control of your life it takes on dimensions you would never have known apart from Him. Here are a few life examples of what I am talking about. When we are weak Christ is willing to demonstrate His strength in our life. When we face situations that are beyond our comprehension, we only have to ask and the wisdom of God is available for us to use. When we are faced with what we think are impossible situations, God will do the impossible in our lives. When we encounter people whom many find difficult to love, God can love those people through our selfless actions. Lastly, when you are at a loss as to what you should pray for you can take comfort that the Spirit is willing to guide you in your prayer life.

It is truly comforting to know that God has the power to control all areas of our life. Rather than us worrying about what we will face we should focus on releasing every area of our life into God’s perfect control. So, as we exchange our life for His will and as we strive to abide in the vine, (John 15:4) hope should fill our life to the point that even the seemingly impossible of life becomes possible!
